Mary Alice will headline the first annual High Tide Womens Weekend
The two day event will offer a variety of programs for and about women. Monroe will be the featured speaker at a Southern Ladies Luncheon scheduled at 12 pm Saturday, October 2 at St. Peter Episcopal Church in historic Fernandina Beach. In addition, she will be a special guest on the Arabian Nights River Cruise Saturday, October 2 at 7 PM.

Event for Breast Cancer;
The 13th annual Pink Ribbon breakfast, luncheon and dinner will be held October 7, 2010 at the Holiday Inn Resort on Wrightsville Beach. Mary Alice Monroe is the breakfast and luncheon speaker. Local Artist, Jane Faudree, will serve as the featured artist and has created artwork inspired by Monroe's novel, TIME IS A RIVER.
Proceeds from this year's event will continue to support funding for mammography screenings for women who could otherwise not afford them.
